M One fourth of American consumers go into debt over Christmas— spending about $1,000.00. Many expected to pay of the debt with tax return money. Half had a Christmas spending plan, but only two thirds stuck to it.
V Those with the spending plan overspent less, as did those who recorded each expense. We go back to the value of a spending plan. Not sparkly, or quick and easy to create, but vital. Then keep track. Recording it when you make the purchase is more effective that waiting and letting your credit card company be the only record.
M Looking at Scripture, the babe Jesus received gifts of the shepherds amazement and bent knee, as well as the three kings expensive gifts. Both were precious.
