Looking forward

One lesson we have certainly learned, or should have from this year is that future plans must be held lightly. I planned to visit our trained graduates in Albania and see their new skills changing their lives. Canceled. I planned to travel to more churches in the States to encourage widow care and ministry. Canceled.
Planning is good. Yet we hold those plans lightly. The tighter we clutch them, the more painful the hurt when those plans cannot be fulfilled.
Jesus followers certainly had a plan for his life. He was to be their conquering King over Rome. Did not happen. He will be this world’s conquering King in His timing.
Make plans for 2021 in old fashioned pencil, not ink. Hold them lightly. Only hold our Lord tightly.
