God loves us and wants to communicate with us. Our nation is not doing a good job of listening. This is not new for our Heavenly Father. He is accustomed to being ignored, even cursed by humans. Yet He has many ways to get our attention. This pandemic is one of them. Our churches are disrupted and examining again what it means to be His people. People are looking for solutions, for help, often in the wrong places.
People may still ignore Him. Numbers 22 tells of the prophet Balaam who didn’t listen to God. Balaam’s donkey spoke! Imagine the shock of hearing an animal speak.
This is not a time to be discouraged. God has given us His Word to instruct us. He will answer and instruct. We need only listen and obey.
