Healing in the church

These unusual days shine a spotlight on the good and bad of our country, our cities and families, and our own hearts.  Words abound!  What are we hearing?  Yes, we do see racism, some blatant: open and unashamed.  But more that was unseen is now felt and emerging.  I have black brothers in Christ who are now experiencing that in the body of believers.  One’s heart is breaking. ‘over the realization of the true revealed thoughts and beliefs around race and racism of those he once pastored and called “brothers and sisters” in Christ.’

Painful.  Necessary, as our hidden sins need hot light, admission, and repentance.

We are having more conversations.  What does it mean to be Christ’s church, one body of believers?

Thankfully black pastors are being heard.  God can yet heal our land.
