Perseverance

The book of James starts with a reality check. We will face trials of many kinds. This pandemic has been one unlike I have ever experienced. Deaths, disruption of work, income, habits, family connections.
Most of us are not counting it joy. James says we can. How can that be? James says consider this a test of faith.
Tests can have a good outcome. James 1: 3,4 ‘because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.’
Perseverance, not giving up, tenacity, abide by something strictly. I’d rather be worshipping in the same room with other believers. I’d rather be hearing pastors teaching in person. Yet, I will persevere open my Bible, sing and pray, alone.
