National debt

M I’m Miriam Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY,-and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money.
M Where do we look for good examples of wise use of money? Let’s look at our national government. One president oversaw the national debt doubling under his tenure. Today our country pays an average of $1 billion every day in interest on our debt. These days of direct help to citizens, incurred debt might be wise.
V Don’t look at the credit card debt you carry and feel relieved. No matter how small the amount you are carrying over one month to the next, its money that provides you nothing for today or tomorrow. Yesterday’s purchase is probably worn out, eaten, or thrown out. Our advice. Wait. Just because you can swipe the card doesn’t mean you should. Wait one month. Then act wisely.
