M Its easy to think that we will be more grateful to God when He blesses us and we have plenty. One mistaken idea is that poverty is a sign of God’s disapproval. Sometimes famine did come to God’s people when they sinned. But consider Job.
V Job’s life was marked by great wealth, then great poverty and finally great wealth. The lesson of his life was that in everything, through wealth and poverty, he loved God, clung to Him, and never denied him. though a chorus of people were telling him he had a right to curse God. Another truth, the Lord gives, and the Lord takes away. Job 1: 21 His name is always blessed.
