National debt

I’m Miriam  Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY,-and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money

M As Valerie and I sat in the Capitol building in the seats where our congressmen sit, representative showed us a small card.  He can step to a location to swipe that card and his vote appears overhead and is counted.

  1. The card is also a credit card of sorts. Votes determine where our tax money will be spent.  Today’s debt stands at over 22 trillion dollars.  They are swiping that card spending money our nation does not have.  We vote for our leaders, but they swipe the card.

M For ourselves, we remember that Scripture says owe no man anything but the debt of love. If you can’t pay it, don’t swipe it.
