Benaiah/Things get worse.

Don’t you love a hero story? Benaiah killed a lion in a pit on a snowy day. Amazing! Benaiah means ‘built by Jehovah,’ hard wired from conception to meet that challenge. We don’t know if he fell in that pit which was dug to capture lions or if he jumped in to prove a point. Warriors sometimes do amazing feats. What we do know: circumstances in the pit were not ‘normal.’ It was a SNOWY day: a rare event in Israel. One would prefer dry ground when contending with a lion. But it was a snowy day.
