Social Security # 2

I’m Miriam  Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY,-and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money

M Social security is not necessarily security.  We suggest that well before you retire, whether single or a couple, you research your options for when to receive benefits and what plan is best for you.

V Today the requirement is that you work putting into  Social Security 40 credits or roughly 10 years, or your spouse has done so.  Full retirement age for those born 1943-1954 is 66.  Born after that 67.  We encourage you to go to www.ssa.gov and create your account so you can explore options and which choice maximizes your benefits.

M  Remember, God provides.  Social security is one tool He uses.  Work, prepare, and honor God first.
