New year goals # 2

I’m Miriam  Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY,-and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money

M End of the year goals take time.  How can you ensure that time is well invested?  Base your goals on Scripture.  Most of us wish to save more money, invest wisely, give generously.

V    Start with the Proverbs 30: 8 goal ‘give me neither poverty or riches.’  That frees us from overly focusing on the financial, which can bring the temptation of greed and hoarding, or worrying about hunger and cold.

The wealthy often focus more on finances than the poor.  Focusing  for stewardship is wise.  Pride and  greed are not.  Sadly charitable giving as a percentage tends to decrease as wealth increases.  Even Christians are included in this statistic.

M  Goals are a good thing.  The best ones are taken from Scripture.  Those we can ask God to bless.
