Prayers for Thanksgiving

What are you praying for as Thanksgiving day approaches? Peace? A certain topic not to come up? No arguments? Consider that what you ask for shows how well you know God.
Is He big enough to grant your request? Yes, for sure.
Do you believe his sovereignty trumps your wish? We hesitate. What if He allows something we would like to avoid some topic to come up. We may need to simply be silent and nod, not the time or place for us to express our thoughts. What if His plan is long term, like stretching our patience?
Can we trust his word? Rom 12: 18 live at peace as much as is possible for you. The only mouth you control is your own. Ask His control in our life, and be at peace.
