Traveling to dangerous places

My friends husband had traveled to North Korea on a commissioned trip.  As devout Christ followers, I asked her if she did not fear for his safety.

Her answer. “I’d rather he be in North Korea in the center of God’s will, than here at home sitting on the couch, not in the center of God’s will.”

My world travels are to places not nearly as dangerous as North Korea.  I’ll remember her words in sketchy times of travel, assured that I am in the center of God’s will.  A flat tire in Kosovo, no identified place to stay or contact person in Mozambique.  Sitting curb side in a developing world airport at nightfall.  Doing what I’m called to do. A good place is in his will and that is  all that matters.
