Calling matters. The knowledge that in marriage, you are called to be loyal, sacrificial, committed in a covenant relationship, is put to the test many times in many ways. It matters. In times of illness, stress, loss, marriage is hard. Calling keeps you there. Remember, God creates the back for the burden. You are equipped for that hardship. Through my husband’s fatal illness, ALS, God equipped me for what I thought I could not do. Not my strength, not my wisdom, or even energy. In my mothers womb, He prepared me for that challenge. He knew I would need a ‘never give up’ determination. He knew I’d need to be capable of sizable energy and strength.
You don’t know you have it until you need it. Its not ‘it’ that is there. Its God.
