The Scripture read at our dinner table recently was

 

Ephesians 2: 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

With grandsons ages 20 something, in transitions, new jobs, unknown futures, God sees not who they are today, but what He created them to be now and in the future.  Handiwork, masterpieces, workmanship.

 

Jesus picked his disciples not looking at who they were at the moment, but at what they would become.

 

I want to see everyone around me, even that woman in the mirror, as God’s handiwork.  Family, friends, coworkers, co-laborers including in ministry.  That looming task ahead is really small.  God is creating a masterpieces. What we build together can be beautiful.
