Pride and discontent

Pastor Colin Smith stated that pride and discontent always abide under the same roof. Thought provoking. Scripture has strong words about pride. It precedes destruction, disgrace and brings a person low. Read Proverbs warnings about pride. How can we discern that we are leaning forward into this terrible trait? Discontent. “I’m really better than this.” “People aren’t giving me the respect, the attention I deserve.” Notice there’s a lot of ‘me’ and ‘I’ going on here. And lots of comparisons. Consider this:
Did you earn all that you have?
Did you chose where you were born?
Did you chose your DNA to be who you are?
Do you believe, before God, that He’ll be thanking YOU for all you did for HIM?
