M I’m Miriam Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY,-and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money
M When you go through major life changes you need to review important documents and assess needed change. For example, if your spouse dies, or you get a divorce, you will likely need to update your will, and trust. Update beneficiaries on any bank accounts, retirement or brokerage accounts unless the divorce decree says otherwise.
V Don’t forget reviewing who you have named on documents saying who controls matters if you are still alive but incapacitated such as your Power of Attorney for Healthcare, and also property, and who your personal medical information is released to via a HIPPA form. If you name no one, the court and state will decide.
M Review, change, and enjoy peace of mind.
