God our Father Listens

Father’s Day approaching has us contemplating the kind of Dad we wish we had. Some would say, “My Dad never understood me. He never really listened.” He might have even disciplined us to our detriment. Hebrews 12: 10 describes this.
You have access to the best ever Father, God himself. He listens. He hears our questions, our requests, our groans. He longs to hear our appreciation, our praise, our recognition of who He is.
Our perfect Father, God listens and understands the context we’re in. We may be clueless and our request not really in our best interest. Thankfully He is perfect. His answer best even if we don’t understand it at the time.
Challenge to Dad’s this week. Intentionally listen to your children. God shows us how.
