Protection from evil

Evil can be blatantly attack us or subtly stalk us. I Peter 5:8 describes our enemy the devil clearly. “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
Watching a lion kill in Serengeti is a fearful display of cunning and power. People are advised that if approaching a lion, DO NOT MAKE EYE CONTACT. Keep walking away. Eye contact with the lion signals that you are his victim.
How often are we mesmerized by the lure of evil. We make eye contact.
Solution: be alert, be sober. Heads up, think clearly of God’s power to protect and claim it for your own. Look away, walk away.
