Does age mean job loss

M Age should be a sign of wisdom and valuable experience.  Unfortunately, it is sometimes viewed as a time of lower productivity, lack of flexibility, and discomfort with technology.  Being out of a job is a challenge for that ‘vintage’ person over 60.

 

V Attending conferences, serving on panels, updating linking websites show you are involved.  Applying to smaller companies may open a door as they receive fewer resumes.  Income may be lower, and you may have to accept that.

 

M Diversify while working by developing new skills on the side. That ‘hobby’ might be your next job.  Remember, your value is not defined by your job.
