Women Who Witness #1

Each of us, as Christ followers are called to be Jesus’ witness. Acts 1: 8
Location to be decided by God, not whether, but when, where, and how. John tells us of a witness who led people from her village out to meet Jesus at a well. Unlikely person, a woman living with her sixth man. Unlikely place, a well for water in Samaria, a town the Jews shunned, not a spiritual gathering place. Unlikely time, midday when few went to get water. Jesus started by asking her a question.
I’m challenged to engage, be prepared, any time, place, or person. I’m reminded of the first widow who accepted Jesus in our widow group. Drawn by our love for her in her time of need. Simply telling her what Jesus had done for us. A simple witness. Now a heaven bound widow.
