Witness Of The Sea

Thinking of our military this month of our country’s birth, many are exposed to the sea in ways they never imagined. Yes, Navy especially, but other branches as well. They will see God there, whether they initially acknowledge that or not.
It was you who split open the sea by your power Psalm 74: 13
You rule over the surging sea; when its waves mount up, you still them Psalm 89:9. The sea speaks of a power frightening in its capability to churn, create waves greater than tall buildings, and currents treacherous and fast.
In our desire to control and conquer, even our mighty military, cannot control the sea. May that inspire each of us to trust the Creator of the sea as our Lord.
