Why Little Persecution 1

We experience little persecution in our country.  Why?  We can rightly say, our founding fathers, Christians, deists, and others, created a constitution which protected us to freely practice our religion in this country.

Though eroding, we still have some of that protection.  A danger, yes, danger of that protection is becoming lukewarm in our faith.  To gather and praise God is not a privilege to be practiced.  To read the Bible with fervent hunger fades as stacks of Bibles are wherever we leave them.  The name of Jesus becomes rarely spoken in our churches, the cross rarely seen.  Our greatest love is not Jesus.  It is ourselves.  Revelation 3:16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

Let us commit to grow in this protected place.
