Walk With Naomi

One courageous widow in Scripture is Naomi. Read her story in the book of Ruth. She fled for food to a strange land with her husband and two sickly sons. Her sons married pagans and then they and her husband died! Yet Naomi would not renounce her God. Her daughter in law, Ruth took note. Naomi headed back to her homeland; Ruth followed. She wanted to be with her. In her grief and loss, Naomi radiated rock solid faith that Ruth wanted.
“Don’t try to make me leave you and go back. Where you go, I’ll go. Where you stay, I’ll stay. Your people will be my people. Your God will be my God.”
