I am a vintage Christ follower. What does that mean? Consider Caleb. Joshua 14. When he was 40 years old, he went into the promised land with Joshua. Of the 12 sent, there were the only 2 who declared, “We can possess the land.” He and Joshua did not see giants, they saw their bold God.
Caleb was given tough territory years later. Hebron, hill country. At age 85 he boldly stated he was going in! He was vintage! He was war ready!
Why could he say his strength at 85 was the same as age 40? Because he wholeheartedly followed the only strong source in the universe. His heart muscle, single mindedness did not shrink.
He had a dependable source of strength. He wholeheartedly followed the Lord.
