Two Words For Thanksgiving

I hope you grab a few moments today to focus on what matters about this day celebrating Thanksgiving. Think two words: gratitude and joy. If you are hosting and bustling about, think gratitude. You have space, whether small or large, and people willing to come. Nourishment. A blessing greater than most in the world enjoy. Freedom to pray and meet. In many countries Christ followers cannot congregate and certainly not let their prayers be known. As you think your list, it will grow.
That’s how gratitude is!
Think joy. Our greatest celebration of Thanksgiving will be in Heaven. No rushing, no slip of the tongue, no strife, even uneasy conflict between people, no messes to clean up. A perfect, endless day. Jesus has been preparing this celebration for centuries. That’s a great reason for gratitude and joy.
