Train up a child # 2

M Proverbs 22:6 ‘Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. We pray that regarding the faith of our children. However parents are responsible for more. Healthy eating and body care, kindness and respect of others, and money matters.
V Don’t overlook generosity. Scripture says be generous for Kingdom purposes. As you determine where you will be generous, include children in some discussions even in early teen years. What needs do they see? Volunteering to get a sense of that ministries effectiveness is a good beginning. Children being a part of donation decisions is more meaningful.
M As we’ve said before Proverbs are principles, not promises. We know we have trained, and set an example. Now choices are theirs.
