I’m burdened by the state of my country today. Like in the days of the prophets, we, supposedly a nation under God are blatantly denying His instructions. God, our only source of blessing is being ignored, at best, defied. Toni Evans recently summed up the problem. Only following God’s truth will solve our nations problems.
Mixing in a bit of ‘not truth’ prevents God from acting. Deceit and lies continue, justice is rare, the poor are taken advantage of, and the powerful divert resources to themselves and their pet projects.
How long will God allow this to go on? Old Testament prophets spoke truth to sinning leaders, supposedly God’s leaders.
We do not need a Micah, or Amos to appear in our capitol to proclaim truth. We have Scripture. Clear instructions for God’s blessing.
