Summertime – Easy Living

Summer time, and the livin’ is easy; well maybe. That song evokes memories of fishing holes, lying in the cool grass with sunshine on our faces, lazy river walks, and quiet nights with fireflies dancing.
‘Be home by dark,’ is no longer a safe admonition. Few children go fishing with a cane pole, string, and real earthworms like I did. Some have no cool grass to lie safely in and study animal shaped clouds.
I am reminded that children were close to Jesus’ heart. He invited them into the safe circle of His arms. Let’s look out for our children this summer. Have a safe event in your community or church, and pray. Pray for their safety and specifically that they discover the safe arms of Jesus as their life-time partner and Savior.
