Sin’s Entry Points 2

Becoming mature in our faith is not guaranteed. We can choose to stay babies, growing little, producing little fruit, and having little Kingdom impact. We can continually allow sin entry points in our lives. How do we prevent this? By examining ourselves: 2 Corinthians 13:5 ‘Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?’
What are sins entry point in my life? Am I defensive? Any criticism, even gracious and true is met by, ‘Here’s MY viewpoint. Here’s why I’m right and justified.” I need to step back and ask myself to listen, not respond. Ponder what I hear. It is OK to not even give a defense. Let God be our defender and protector.
