Shaking To Spreading Out

Times have been tumultuous recently. Like locusts eating our land, the economy and inflation have reduced our resources. Like pestilence in biblical times, health and pandemics has brought illness, even death. Yet Scripture admonishes us to be bold. Isaiah 54: 2-4. ‘Enlarge your tent, stretch you tent curtains wide, do not hold back.’
Notice, a tent is flexible. Have we become complacent in our home, spending on auto pilot? Complacent in our churches? But we always did it this way.
Move our chords, strengthen our pegs. We will reach to the left and to the right. Our country, our neighborhood, our families need us to advance, not retreat or just reshuffle. They need to see God as we care in new ways, provide in new times.
