Second marriages

What if you were signing a relationship contract that will likely be broken? The sad news is that for second marriages, 75% end in divorce. I paid little attention to second marriages until I began to see my widowed and widower friends remarry.
Yes, some are delighting in each other, blending families–with a lump or bruise here and there–loving and serving God. Others are struggling. What makes the difference?
First, the guidelines for that second marriage are the same as the first. Believers are instructed to marry their match–another believer.
Second, are you ready to submit to each other? Ephesians 5:21. First marriages are a change process. Who you are is partly, who you are with. Now that must change.
Those two guidelines are no guarantee. But they’re a good beginning
