Scripture And Plants

Scripture refers to wheat, barley, and just weeds, referencing planters and harvesters.   What lessons can we learn from plants?

One type of bamboo takes 5 years to sprout and can grow to 60 feet in one year.  On our farm, wheat planted in the Spring was ready for harvest late summer.  Christians bear fruit.  Some after long learning, some quickly, some a long productive run.  Some in harsh and some in welcoming soil. Some for harvesting, some just for shelter.  Psalm 139: 13—16 We are each uniquely made from conception. Each day planned before we took our first breath.  We are up to the task because He created us for it. Ephesians 2: 10, His workmanship.  No boasting.  It’s all Him.  Ours is to grow wherever we are, not judging others, or comparing.  That belongs to God.
