Repeat Behavior

We are creatures of habit.  My directionally challenged friend, who always turned toward the dead end when leaving our home, eventually decided to change the direction she turned.  Would that we all were willing to change when our behavior is leading to dead ends.  Albert Einstein once said that doing the same thing over expecting different results is a sign of insanity.

The same is true of self-centered behavior.  How often are our acts focused on elevating ourselves.  Not only does it not work, it’s wrong.  Scripture reminds us that the one who serves is the greatest of all.

The one who looks out for the interests of the helpless is really the hero.  Changing our behavior to focus on others is not only the sane thing to do; it’s the right thing to do.
