Refuge 2

Are you looking for a quiet place of safety, peacefulness, hope? Financial upheaval, family chaos, an important relationship severed has you floundering? In the Old Testament, God’s people had cities of refuge. One wronged could run there for protection. There is no such place in our world.
But we can have refuge. In a person, not a place. Psalm 34:8 ‘O taste and see that the Lord is good; happy are those who take refuge in him.’ Notice we take action to take refuge. God does not swoop in and tuck us under His wing. We act, we explore who He is, we taste, we look.
From Scripture we see stories of people who took refuge in Him and gained renewed strength. Usually, we are depleted. A refuge provides rest.
