Prodigals

A vintage parent opened an encouraging card they had written to an adult child. Dated months ago, with a check enclosed, that child had canceled the planned meeting. Never having time to reschedule, the encouragement, and gift were never received. Not yet, anyway.
God waits for us, gift in hand, encouragement exactly as we need it most. Are you that vintage parent? Pray on. Are you that busy person? No time to meet with God, hear His words, His worthy and practical instruction? Remember caring parent, more important than connecting with you, is connecting with their Creator.
The prodigal son returned on his time line. His father did not pursue him, or send his brother to plead. He just waited and watched.
Faith is waiting watching, and praying.
