Senate Chaplain Barry Black spoke to our group about ‘Stupid Proofing Our Lives.’ He gave examples from his own life where he declined advancements that many would have taken, after prayer for God’s wisdom. He was then led to act in ways that, rather than set him back, protected him and was best for his future.
Prayer: so simple, so available, with such guarantees. James 1: 5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
No ifs, maybe, God will think about that later. He has bigger things on His mind at the time. Silence is an answer. He makes direction clear on His wise timetable. Generously and with contentment.
