Life’s challenges are ever present, as is our ability to mess up. I was blessed to hear Senate Chaplain Barry Black talk about prayer. His title was ‘Stupid Proofing Your Life.” How I needed his words. I’ve been remembering my friend’s advice that my silver bullet for a difficult challenge is prayer. Black expanded on the ‘how to.’ Talk to God, not people.” That’s easier in solitude than in a group.
Pray to a loving God. Know His answer will be for His glory and your good, at some time.
Start with a God centered emphasis. Acknowledge who God is. All powerful, knowing, loving, and wise.
Pray for needs and necessities. Remember, most in the world have less. Thank you, Chaplain Black, for helping me stupid proof my life.
