Power Out

Chicago! Power out again! I realize I take so much for granted. Our spiritual power supply is similar. Taking for granted a Bible I can read daily, that book can be closed. ‘Me focused’ prayers. God’s abundant power supply is reduced. First to go; grace and mercy for others. Next; self-serving actions grow like ice around our soul. The chill is gradual, hardly noticed.
There is no greater protection than regular opening, inhaling, embracing God’s word. 2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.
Simple prayers like ‘Help’ ‘I’m listening, Lord.’ Humbly admitting, “I need You.’ Power restored.
