Out Walking

Out walking. There’s nothing like it. A time of reflection if we’re alone. Conversation, usually more insightful if we’re in the company of others. Examples in Scripture reveal that God accomplishes a lot–when we’re out walking.
Two men walking to Emmaus (Luke 24) were joined by a stranger, who later revealed himself as Jesus. On that walk we learn in verse 27 that ‘beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.’
What an honor. I wish I had been on that walk. After dinner when Jesus revealed himself and vanished, they realized why their hearts were burning when Jesus spoke on the walk.
I imagine all their lives, they remembered as the best moments of their life–that walk.
