Our countries founding fathers intentions are not discernible today. Founded on the dignity of every person. Each person created with equal worth. Inalienable rights to pursue life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Reference is made to safety and happiness.
How is our country doing today? With great discord between political parties, insults, and even lies, what evidence is there that persons see those with whom they disagree as created by God? To be treated with respect, even through disagreements?
I’m challenged myself to communicate respectfully with those whose views I oppose. I can respectfully state I don’t identify with a person or party. I vote based on principle and platform. I have adopted children and grandchildren. Evidence that I believe in the value of all life from conception. I can love the person who disagrees without embracing their position.
