Our Golden Bullet

I asked a friend for advice on one of my current challenges. She is a Christ follower, has studied and knows Scripture better than I, and over decades, knows my strengths and weaknesses. I expected a ‘how to’ and what to say.
She started by saying, ‘Don’t forget, you have the golden bullet.’ Common knowledge of a golden bullet is ‘something providing an effective solution to a difficult or previously unsolvable problem.’ That’s how my challenge looked to me. I looked at her puzzled. “It’s prayer,” she said with quiet conviction.
Scripture reminds us that prayer unleashes God’s power beyond our expectations or dreams. Prayer opens our minds to listen and question, “Lord what is your wish for an outcome here?”
My mission impossible no longer seemed large. My golden bullet, prayer!
