Organizations – Struggles

Our personal struggle is to stay true to the truths of the gospel as we grow, face challenges, and are tempted. It’s personal. The same is true of faith-based organizations, including the church. The truth of the gospel as its foundation is no guarantee that the organization won’t stray, morph, leave it’s truth base.
Paul’s letters to churches and individuals confirms this was the early temptation as well as today. 2 Timothy 4:3, Paul warns that people will want to hear what they want to hear. Sound doctrine confronts our selfish and self-centered focus. That organization shifts, as individuals do, to what is comfortable, popular, even glitzy.
Solution; keep reading and teaching all of Scripture. Covenant keeping, transparency, servant hearted living. Only Scripture and all of Scripture.
