Milkweeds

I’m learning lessons from nature’s lessons. Scripture often talks of plants, seasons, harvest times and more.
The pods of my milkweed plants are popping open due to cold air, floating high to unknown places to land and multiply. These milkweed plants are home to an endangered specie of butterfly, the Monarch.
We are called to disciple people, the gospel, to growth, to multiplication. What if the milkweed seed did not fly, multiply, and provide a place for Monarch butterflies to reproduce and multiply? This picture in nature applies to people.
Are there ‘endangered’ people around you? Tasting the gospel, wondering, needing our witness and discipleship to grow?
The culture is cold, the winds are stiff, Jesus’ gospel silenced in many places. This is our opportunity to be disciples and nurture others.
