Keeping watch

Watching your investments on a day when they are rising is a good day. We keep checking in. Down days we don’t want to look. We might even not watch for several days.
Here’s a parallel. When we are reading Scripture regularly, living by it as best we can, serving others, we are eager to pray continually, dig back in the Word for even more inspiration.
When our obedience lags, we KNOW an area of our life is not God honoring, we avoid reading Scripture. It rebukes us. We avoid prayer. We’re embarrassed to call on the One we need most. Adam and Eve tried to hide from God. Doesn’t work.
Solution: discipline. Up days, down days. Strong obedience, struggling with temptation. Read regularly, pray fervently and frequently.
