Humility

Humility might be called the greatest of all virtues. It may also be the most rare. Freedom from pride or arrogance, being meek, and an absence of self promotion. Our culture, our world today does not value humility. To be meek is to be ‘under the hand.’ Like a strong wild stallion that has been trained and reigned in under the hand of a good owner. We are not weak, but powerfully directed. Credit for success goes to the owner, not the stallion.
Scripture says with humility comes wisdom Proverbs 11: 2. and humility comes before honor 15: 33. Humility is reverence for the Lord, not self promotion. With humility we are to value others more than ourselves Philippinas 2: 3. Now theres a counter cultural idea.
How do we learn humility. Simply, we imitate Jesus.
