February Freeze

As February freezes Chicago, the political temperature sizzles. we have learned one thing from history: we don’t learn from history. Recalling that World War I was the war to end all wars, that did not happen. Humans still fight over land, reputation, ideology, resources, or just to show strength.
I yearn for the day when biblical transparency is practiced in politics and every other organization. Speaking the truth in love, revealing whited sepulchers for what they are, being a voice for the voiceless. In the past behind my cities successful stock yards and rail yards were thriving mobs and graft. While all will not be perfect until Heaven, the closer my city moves to God honoring practices and laws, the greater will be God’s blessing, even on this city.
