Songs about our dreams tug at our souls and capture our imagination. “Dream On,” “California Dreamin,” we love to escape into our dreams, especially when life is ordinary or tough.
Yes, I dream of what life would be like if my husband were still here. We dream of family get togethers where all siblings show up and actually have fun together, share mutual values and genuine care for each other. Then the car needs gas bleep sounds, the clock chimes, the phone rings, a text message pops up. And we are back in reality.
I still believe in dreaming. I’d rather have a broken dream than no dream.
I’d rather pray for a miracle than give up my quest for gold. My heroes in Hebrews 11 set a great example. It’s called faith.
