Discouraged in our country# 2

As Christians, do we sometimes grow discouraged watching our country move from God honoring ways to celebrating sin that Scripture forbids. Sexuality and marriage guidelines, lack of justice to name a few. Of course we do. I’m reminded of Scripture that states that these times are like a moment in God’s eternal calendar. Heaven will be forever. And perfect. These discouraging times will be forgotten.
We can pray for God to keep our sights on eternity, while our feet are on the ground here. Perspective is precious. We see evil prevail, injustice reign and God’s commands more than ignored. Violating them is seen as a badge of honor to be applauded.
Keep in mind, my friend, its not over yet. Our Lord will have the last word, not just last word, the last shout. In that we take courage.
