Disappointments

Imagine the questions Jesus will be asked this year. A big one. “If you love me, Jesus, why this?” I have wondered why death came early or incarceration, to ones I love. I have asked ‘Why?’ even sensing His love.
Genesis 3 brought sin, illness, death, hurricanes. Injustice, violence, and more. Suffering is real and not avoidable on this planet. In our personal life?
We may never know Why. But with assurance we can know it’s not all about us. We are not the center of God’s universe. He is working in others, their circumstances. He does not enable, sometimes we do. He is just, sometimes we’d rather duck. He is in the character refining business, the shaping the clay business. In Heaven we can ask, but it won’t matter to me then. Studying his face intently, experiencing His love will be enough.
